Marsha Stone is a world renowned speaker, visionary, and respected leader in the field of addiction recovery. Marsha is the Chief Executive Officer of the BRC Family of Programs, including the Segue, BRC Recovery and Spearhead Lodge.
Marsha regularly speaks at top industry conferences, including UK/European Symposium on Addictive Disorders, Innovations in Recovery, Recovery Results, West Coast Symposium on Addictive Disorders, and Clinical Overview of the Recovery Experience. In addition to frequent guest appearances on A&E Intervention, Marsha has appeared on Dr. Phil and The Doctor’s. Marsha integrates her own battle with and triumph over addiction into providing the most effective and quality rehabilitative process possible to those struggling with addictive disorders.
Marsha holds a Juris Doctorate with the distinction of Academic Excellence from North Carolina Central University, a Bachelor of Arts in English from Elizabeth City State University, and is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in Texas.
Chris Spencer is a Peer Recovery Support Specialist with the Segue Program. Chris enjoys assisting men transitioning out of treatment into their first year of recovery. Chris is an active member of the recovery community. He enjoys spending time with his animals and loved ones, watching movies, and attending live music performances. His hobbies are sport shooting and culinary arts.
Gerard Berens is a Peer Recovery Support Specialist with the Segue Program. He works with clients and their families to guide them through their first year in recovery. Gerard is passionate about the program, and loves to see the progress that happens in that timeframe. He enjoys helping others through the process, using his own personal experience with addiction and the journey to recovery.
Justin Yoken is a Peer Recovery Support Specialist with the Segue Program. He has been living in Austin since 2014 and is active in the recovery community. Justin enjoys community based activities such as rock concerts, sporting events, and recovery interactions. His favorite part of being a coach is seeing men grow closer with their families and remain sober through life’s ups and downs. He believes firmly in the powers of gratitude, meditation, and the law of attraction.
Doug Hauck is a Peer Recovery Support Specialist with the Segue Program An actual native of Austin, Doug moved back into the Austin area in 2013 and has lived there happily since. He held several roles at BRC recovery since 2013, including RCA and Recovery Manager. Doug enjoys working with men who are excited to take what they have learned in treatment and put that knowledge into work in the outside world.
Leigh Vines is a Peer Recovery Support Specialist with the Segue Program. In this role, she assists clients and their families in navigating the hurdles that are presented during the first year of sobriety outside of treatment. Leigh is a BRC Recovery alumnus and has worked for the company for two years, starting out as a Resident Care Associate. Leigh is an active participant in the Twelve-Step community. She has found great value and passion in working closely with other addicts and alcoholics and helping them to recover and discover a new way of life. In her free time, Leigh enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, and camping.
